GIL JIMENEZ-HOLTAPPEL

Gil Jimenez-Holtppel is a Mexican filmmaker born and raised in the border city of Nogales, Sonora, México. Growing up in a somewhat normal family setting within an abnormal societal setting in the desertic area of Sonora amidst a violent sociocultural context, Gil found an escape and a unique way of expressing himself through cinema.

Nowadays, he aims towards telling stories around the world that can make a difference and always honor his values and origins.

"I believe in the power and importance of cinema. It is my passion and what thrives across my life. My goal is to tell stories and help other artists to tell theirs."
